There is much to say about our food, but we’ll keep this as short as possible in the hope that you will click on the menu links below to get a real feel for the delicious food on offer at the Woolpack.
Our kitchen team works hard to prepare, a fresh, exciting and seasonal menu. Our menu regularly changes, keeping the core classics and we offer a range of seasonal daily specials. We also have our well-equipped outdoor kitchen and our team loves being able to get outside and cook over wood. Look out for our bank holiday weekend barbecues and special outdoor evenings!
We make the most of our surroundings to create dishes with the best and freshest ingredients every day. Local game, trout from pristine chalk streams, small dairy cheeses and watercress from nearby beds all feature on our menus. The majority of our fish is from Brixham and we use a nearby South Hampshire butcher to supply our meat. Our locals always keep the larder stocked up when they have excess ingredients and are always welcome at the back door!
We are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. You can choose to dine in our traditional bar area, the 50-cover dining room or our heated outside area. The private dining room (seating up to 14) with its own garden is available for all styles of party. We also have a garden with a children’s play area for use in the warmer months.

Breakfast is served 7 days a week from 9:00am to 10.30am on Monday – Saturdays and from 9:00am to 10am on Sundays. Breakfast includes any item from our cooked breakfast menu as well as unlimited choice from our continental selection with coffee, tea and fruit juices – all for £12.50 per person. Sunday Lunch is a big deal at the Woolpack so it is advisable to book in advance. We offer a range of roasts, often serving locally shot game from the Candover Valley.

Courtyard Authentic Pizza Oven
Peculiar to the Hampshire countryside, we have a full outdoor kitchen equipped with a fantastic wood fired pizza oven perfect for al fresco dining during the summer.
Every Sunday from 5.30 to 8.30pm – throughout spring and summer
Join us every Sunday evening as we crank up our traditional stone baked outdoor wood-fire pizza oven. Our delicious pizzas are home-made and feature only the freshest local ingredients. They offer a tasty alternative to a Sunday evening roast for the family to enjoy.
Please note that on Sunday nights our pizza menu replaces our regular a la carte menu.
